Chrome Extension
The Chrome extension is how PilotAgent connects to your Facebook Marketplace conversations. It works on facebook.com/messages. Make sure to click the Marketplace tab in the sidebar.
Before you switch it on
- It runs in your browser. Facebook has no official way (an API) for tools to answer Marketplace messages, so PilotAgent works inside Chrome, the way you would. It replies while Chrome is open on facebook.com/messages with Marketplace selected. Many businesses keep a spare laptop or Mac mini running it all day.
- It answers recent unread chats. When it starts, it replies to unread chats from the last 12 hours, then to every new message. Older unread chats are left for you. You can change this in AI settings.
- It leaves your conversations alone. Chats you have already replied to yourself stay with you. Press Resume replies in Chats to hand one over.
Installation
- 1Visit pilotagent.ai/extension or search "PilotAgent" in the Chrome Web Store
- 2Click "Add to Chrome" and confirm the installation
- 3Pin the extension to your toolbar for easy access
Connecting Your Account
After installing, click the PilotAgent icon in your Chrome toolbar, paste your Agent ID and press Save. Your Agent ID is on the Overview page of your dashboard, with a Copy button. If you have not connected yet, press Finish setup there and the setup guide shows it.
The Floating Panel
When you visit facebook.com/messages and select the Marketplace tab, you will see a floating PilotAgent panel in the corner of your screen. This panel shows:
Status
Live in green while PilotAgent is running. Paused when Reply to buyers is off in your dashboard. Off when you turned it off in the panel or the extension, with a Turn on button to start again.
Next Reply
The reply PilotAgent is about to send, a countdown and why it is waiting. Send now sends it straight away, Cancel skips it. If the buyer writes again first, it writes a fresh reply. If you write in the chat yourself, it steps back.
Pause / Resume Button
One-click pause for the current conversation. The AI stops on this chat but keeps running everywhere else.
Reply Speed and This Hour
Your reply speed and night setting from the dashboard, and how many replies went out in the last hour. It never sends more than 30 an hour: in a busy hour replies wait a little, none are dropped.
Supported Platforms
The extension automatically detects sold listings and unavailable content in multiple languages, so it will not respond to conversations about items that are no longer available.
