Per-Chat Pause and Resume
Pause the AI on any specific conversation without disabling it for your entire account. Take over manually when you need to, and resume automation with one click.
How It Works
Every active conversation can be paused individually. When you pause a chat:
That conversation stops getting AI replies
The buyer will only hear from you directly until you resume.
Every other conversation keeps running
Your AI continues responding to all other buyers normally.
Pause state persists
Stored server-side, so it survives browser restarts, extension reconnects, and computer reboots.
Switch everything off
Going away, or leaving your computer on? Switch Reply to buyers off at the top of AI settings. No buyer gets a reply until you switch it back on, and an amber banner on your dashboard reminds you it is off. No refresh is needed. Chats you paused one by one stay paused when you switch back on. Messages that arrive while it is off are left for you, and PilotAgent answers each buyer again when they next write.
When the agent steps back by itself
You reply yourself
If you type a reply in a chat, your agent pauses that chat so it never talks over you. Press Resume replies in Chats when you want it to carry on.
The buyer shares their number
In How PilotAgent behaves, at the top of AI settings, choose what happens when a buyer shares their number or email: keep replying, send one short closing line and step back, or send nothing and step back. When it steps back, the chat pauses and is yours, with an email of their details if lead emails are on.
These messages are free
When your agent stays quiet because a chat is paused, handed over or has nothing new to answer, that message does not count towards your monthly allowance.
Where to Pause
From the Dashboard
Open Chats, find the conversation and press Pause replies. Press Resume replies to hand it back. Useful when you spot a chat that needs your personal attention.
From the Chrome Extension
On Facebook, press Pause this chat in the PilotAgent panel. Press Resume this chat to hand it back.
