How PilotAgent Replies

These settings decide when and how PilotAgent answers your buyers. They sit at the top of AI settings, under How PilotAgent behaves. Each one saves the moment you change it and never changes your prompt. If you have several agents, each agent has its own.

    Refresh Facebook after a change

After changing a setting below, refresh your Facebook Messages tab. PilotAgent then uses your new settings straight away. Reply to buyers is the only setting that needs no refresh.

    Reply to buyers

Switch this off to stop every reply straight away, from anywhere, even if the computer running PilotAgent is left on. Messages that arrive while it is off are left for you to answer. No refresh needed for this switch.

    Reply speed

How long PilotAgent waits before each reply. A varied wait looks natural to buyers and to Facebook.

    Quick start
    Recommended

First reply in 15 to 45 seconds, then 40 seconds to 2.5 minutes. Now and then a few minutes.

    Natural

    45 seconds to 4 minutes.

    Fast

    20 to 90 seconds.

    Relaxed

    2 to 10 minutes.

    Fixed time

The same wait every time. Choose between 10 and 600 seconds.

The same wait every time looks automated and can trigger checks from Facebook. Quick start is safer.

30 replies an hour at most

PilotAgent never sends more than 30 replies an hour. In a busy hour replies wait a little. None are dropped.

    At night, 11pm to 7am

Uses the clock on the computer running PilotAgent. Until you choose, replies are slower at night. The extension asks you which you prefer.

    Slower at night

Replies take 5 to 20 minutes, like a real person.

    Same as daytime

    Your reply speed, all night.

    Unread chats when PilotAgent starts

When PilotAgent starts, chats still marked unread are waiting. Choose which ones it answers. Works with version 2.0 of the Chrome extension.

    Only recent ones (recommended)

Unread chats from the last 12 hours get a reply. Older ones stay unread for you.

    Answer them all

Every chat still marked unread gets a reply.

    Reply language

Choose Auto and your agent answers each buyer in the language they write in, even very short messages like "available?" or "Dispo?". Pick a fixed language only if every reply must be in that language, whatever the buyer writes.

When a buyer shares their number or email

    Keep replying

PilotAgent carries on the conversation as normal.

One closing line, then step back

It says you will continue by phone or WhatsApp, then the chat pauses for you.

    Send nothing, step back

The chat pauses the moment the number arrives. You take it from there.

When PilotAgent steps back, the chat pauses and shows as paused in Chats. Press Resume replies there to hand it back. If lead emails are on, you also get an email with the buyer's details.

    Only reply to my listings

Buyers asking about an item that is not on your Listings page get no reply at all. Keep your listings complete before switching this on.

PilotAgent recognises a listing by its title, so the title on your Listings page must match the one on Marketplace. Imported listings always match. If replies stop after you switch this on, switch it off or import the listing again from its link.

    Which settings need Extension 2.0

Reply speed, night replies, the 30-an-hour limit and Unread chats when PilotAgent starts take effect with version 2.0 of the Chrome extension. Chrome updates it for you automatically. Reply to buyers, reply language, the setting for when a buyer shares their number and Only reply to my listings work with every version.
